The Setup & Organizing Crew: A massive thank you to Andy Speight, Val Nicholas-Gibbs, Julie Linwood, Michelle Eaton, Darren Eaton, and Rachel Speight who all rolled up their sleeves early to handle the task of getting the club set up and dressed for the day.
The Sweepstake: A big shoutout to Darren Eaton for organizing the US Open sweepstake, which added fantastic extra excitement to the day and boosted our fundraising!
The Speed of Serve: The ever popular speed of serve challenge was back, organised by Jamie Lloyd-Jenkins
The Pizza Crew: Andy Speight and Rachel Speight knocked it out of the park managing the pizzas, with invaluable, non-stop help from Val Nicholas-Gibbs and Julie Linwood.
The Star Bakers: Our legendary cake bakers were amazing, with cake sales alone totalling a brilliant £150! A massive thank you to Alison Hynes, Andy Speight, Norma Bingham, Michelle Eaton, Laura Lloyd-Jenkins, Jen Mati, Nadia Adova, Sally Curry, Rachel Kompfner, Tracy Barnard and Christine Bowes who baked and donated such delicious treats.
The Tournaments: Andy Speight wore multiple hats, successfully organizing and MC’ing a brilliant adult tournament, while our Head Coach, Simon Grassi and Sue Grassi, ran a fantastic, high-energy junior tournament for our younger stars.
Sports Therapy Sessions: Thank you to Faz Mati, who raised a brilliant £100 single-handedly through sports therapy sessions!
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Yasmin from the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, who came down specifically to support our event and show her appreciation for the incredible day the club put on. Knowing our efforts are directly supporting such a vital lifesaving service makes the day even more special.
