At Bracknell Lawn Tennis Club we run a number of tournaments throughout the year, both internal and external tournaments.

Winter Doubles Handicap

An internal tournament run through the winter months for Mens, Ladies and Mixed Doubles.

Pairs are given a handicap score by the match and tournament committee to attempt to create a level playing field.

Finals are held in March each year.

Club Championships

This is the big event of the year, run through the summer including juniors and adult, singles and doubles events. Winners will get their names engraved on the relevant trophy and will be added to the honours boards in the club house.

Finals day is a big event, with many people turning up to watch. A barbecue is general held at the end of the day and the bar is open throughout.

Consolation draws are also played in most events, giving not just the top players the chance to win something, and meaning players get at least two matches in most events.

Results are all registered with the LTA so singles matches will count for ratings.

May Bracknell Open

This is an LTA sanctioned event, open to external players as well as our members. Includes both junior and adult singles events. As a grade 4 tournament, players will gain ranking points and matches will also count towards ratings.

The event is held during the May half term each year.

Berkshire Challenge Cup

Bracknell Lawn Tennis Club has been hosting the Berkshire Challenge Cup since it’s inception. This is a adult only event to complement the Berkshire Junior County Championships.

Like the May Open this is an LTA Sanctioned event but in this case it is open to adult players in Berkshire only. Mens and Ladies Singles events are held.

Winners will get their names engraved on the Tournament Cup.
